The USDA has just announced new rules that will greatly limit such importation for any dog intended “for sale”

As we discussed at trade show, American breeders have been overly regulated while international breeders had free access to export puppies into the USA with little to no regulation. It’s been estimated that 300,000 puppies were imported into the US in 2013. Many of those puppies are not healthy and went to shelter and rescue organization.

The USDA has just announced new rules that will greatly limit such importation for any dog intended “for sale”. That term includes shelter and rescues.
